Whoops! Can't leave out Sam Man out of the picture!

Here's a picture of ALL the grandbabies. Sam is ALWAYS hard to capture! He was IN and OUT of this group picture...as you can SEE and then SEE him leaving.

Merry Christmas!!!

None of the Happy Holiday mess! It's a very Merry Christmas wish and prayer from our house to yours! Yet another chance to reflect on how much Christ has done for us...through His birth, death, and (YEA!) resurrection.
The blessings we have never cease to amaze me and YEAR 2010 was no exception. Mollie Marie arrived back in September and Adam Vaughn arrived last week!

Nothing wrong with an 8 lb, 1 oz bundle of joy to stuff in your Chrismas Stocking:). Not to mention the other 'little treasures' under the tree named Abbie, Owen, Sam and Mollie! Thank you Lord!

A bit different Thanksgiving

As always, we didn't have to think TOO hard to realize our blessings....for Thanksgiving and the year round. The King, Barry, and Panyko gathering was a little more quite and a little less 'festive' because we were missing the Brad and Whitney Neier sweeties!

I'm very happy for ya'll in Atlanta...but it's defintely our loss!

And Whitney, our desserts weren't near as HAPPY without your chocolate cheesecake!

We were blessed with the NEW (Thanksgiving) presence of Mollie Marie...her 1st Thanksgiving ever! And before Christmas, we should have our NEW baby Panyko...girl or boy...we do not know:)!

Hello world! I'm MOLLIE MARIE !!!!

<

Well, she's here and WELL worth the wait. Mollie arrived (as scheduled) on September 20th @ 5:16 PM, weighing in at 8 lbs., 9 oz. and 20" long...WOW! She is beautiful and is a sweet mixture of both Allison and Devin!

I had the pleasure and privilege of being able to 'come home' along with Mollie to stay with Devin, Allison, Sam and sweet-dog Dixie. I mainly attempted to corral Sam from time to time and keep up with the laundry and picking up around the house....which is a challenge, because of Sam's tornadic activity from room to room:).

But 'oh my goodness'...he's the cutest thing. He received a haircut from Aunt Mindy while I was there and was a perfect model while his curls were being 'tossed'.

The weather was still SO hot, we didn't get to go to the park as much as I had hoped. In fact, I'm afraid that Sam might have seen Mama D (that's me) as the enemy a few times and that I was keeping his Mom from him:(. I was the 'bad guy' putting him to bed and lifting him in the highchair instead of his Mommy because of her 'boo-boo, c-section'...plus I had come home at the same time as THIS baby, too! Sam was most likely wondering if this was a coincidence and Sam and Dixie, both....looked at me as if to say..."Now, how long were you planning on staying?"

Well, I'm back home (my home) and missing 'the babies' terribly!!!! Greg and I are so blessed to have FOUR grandchildren (soon to be five) and love them so much that it hurts! My mother used to tell me, "they are so sweet that I just 'wanna eat em up with a spoon'! Now I understand!
Hand me a spoon, Mama!

Missing Brad and Whit

Well....maybe the 'blog drought' is over. Here I am (once more) attempting to compose and post. I have a knack for NOT keeping up with things such as this. It's a vicious cycle....the more I do it, the better I am, the more I do it, etc:). Anyway, here I am.

Whitney and Brad moved to Atlanta last week....and the reality is beginning to set in. I'm excited on behalf of their 'new adventure', but sad for us. We DID get a chance to spend some family time up in Pine the weekend before they moved and that was good, but I found myself wanting to hang onto every moment and freeze time a little bit.

The older I get...the more I realize how sweet and precious our family is. Our sweet girls, our adopted sons (son-in laws:), and three wonderful grandchildren. However, September 20th (if not sooner) will be the arrival of the newest addition to our family....Babygirl Barry. Then...a few short weeks down the road....Baby (boy or girl?) Panyko....are we blessed or what!

Comments on Sam's overnight stay

OK...I was a little over zealous that I actually was able to post the picture of Sam playing with his home-made toy....a (Fry's brand) Crystal Light container...I somehow didn't correctly post the comments.

Once Sam adapted to his Mama and Daddy 'not being around' he enjoyed playing...what a joy he is! I had put a couple of animal crackers in the container for him to shake up and down...he didn't know there was food 'in there', but our Cocker Spaniel, Oliver did (you might notice the black blob in the left of the picrue). He followed Sam around like a bee to honey! Once Sam discovered the treasure, he very politely shared with Oliver:).

Greg and I gave each other a nice little Nikon digital camera for Christmas...so look for more pictues. I will get more instruction from Allison, however...I am so NOT a natural at this.

By the way, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
